I met and started to develop a friendship with this little one's amazing mama, Amber, when she was pregnant with her. That was over 6 years ago! Her oldest daughter and my daughter, Ava were in preschool together. What started as one get together over coffee (did I mention I love to meet up at coffee shops) has grown into one of my most cherished friendships. So when my sweet friend asks if I can capture these precious moments, the answer is always YES!
I loved how there was no amount of ruffles, sparkles or tulle that could keep this fierce little one from climbing structures at Mission San Luis Obispo. Those precious little curls, that sweet little face, and of course her playful demeanor are just a few of my favorite things about her. As the youngest of 3 sisters, she knows what it means to share, but on this day she had the afternoon all to herself. She was all too happy to twirl, skip, and climb.
The San Luis Obispo Mission was the perfect backdrop for her gorgeous dress; a gift from grandma and the inspiration for a birthday session. Who wouldn't want a birthday session in such a fun dress! Her giggles and smile are infectious and I just had so much fun photographing her.
She may be little, but she sure is fierce.
