It’s officially Fall and this girl could not be more excited!!! The change in colors, the cooler weather (well minus the incoming heatwaves), pumpkins, sweaters, apple picking, and on and on. Does anyone else feel like binge-watching Gilmore Girls this time of year? No, just me.
Ok, back to fall. The thing I really love most about fall is that it means the holidays are just around the corner. I get to break out the fall decorations which always brings the house to life. Something about those warm autumn colors!
With the holidays, it usually means I’m headed into full swing with fall photo sessions and it seriously fills my heart! To those of you who are parents, you know how quickly time goes by and how fast kids grow. From one year to the next, there’s always such a big difference. I have countless photos of our kids on my phone, but guess who’s the one taking them? Me! This means photos of us all together are far and few in between. I’m guessing the same can be said for your family. Fall mini sessions are perfect for busy moms and busy families. They’re sweet and short sessions but allow for so many great images of your family. It’s also the perfect excuse to get all dressed up.
Like this sweet family here. Melissa had originally wanted to take photos back in the summer, but with schedules and covid, those family photos never quite happened. So when the opportunity arose to capture Melissa with her girls and her mom, I couldn’t pass it up! We’re talking three generations here.
We met at the Los Osos Oaks State Reserve. There are so many beautiful locations here along the Central Coast that I’m always discovering new places. The Los Osos Oaks State Reserve is one of those new places. As you walk up to the trail entrance, you’re met these giant oaks and a cute little wooden bridge. The sun peeks through the trees creating the most beautiful glow. And just around the corner, you can find moss-covered trees. It was perfect for this family!
Melissa, thank you for trusting me to capture you with your sweet girls and mom. It was such a privilege. I hope you will treasure these photos for years to come!
