Where to even begin with this family! In full transparency, Gloria and I have been friends since the seventh grade. She walked up to my locker one day to say hi and we've been friends ever since. That was over 20 years ago! We've been through all of life's major milestones togethers; graduations, marriages, birthdays, having babies. We've been there for each other during the highs and lows, we've watched each other's kids grow, we've shared lots of laughs and our fair share of tears together. Many of those tears have been from all the laughs. She's been the family I get to choose and I'm so thankful for her, Tony and their little crew.
The first time I had the privilege of photographing this family, the twins were just a few months shy of turning three. Here we are four years later and I still love photographing them. Thank goodness they had so much trust in me when I was just starting out. Their support and encouragement has meant the world to me. I just love that I've been able to document and capture so many special moments for them these last four years. From First Communions, to birthdays and even an extended family session.
This session is one of my absolute favorites! The colors, the light, the location!!! I love the deep reds and oranges of fall, but I seriously gush over open fields of tall, dried grass. But besides the colors (still gushing) the dynamic of the kiddos is so fun! The twins are double trouble with their "twin power" and the older two are the biggest sweethearts. This age is so fun to capture. Their little personalities really shine through. The giggles, the smiles, the "Ew, I don't want to hold her hand!" phase. I love it! And let's not forget about mom and dad. These two always make each other laugh during a session. These are the moments I love to capture and these are the moments I hope families will get to treasure for years to come.
